Research Progress Report I

thou shall see

I was going through some quotes on knowledge the other day. As all my brain could muster was the overly cliched quote knowledge is power, I decided maybe I need a fresher quote; something not so mainstream but mainstream enough. I came across this:
Share your knowledge.
It’s a way to achieve immortality.
-Dalai Lama
(1357-1419, high lama of Tibetan Buddhism)
So if we actually take these two quotes together, superglue them and then cold wield them, would it mean that if I somehow shared my lab's progress report, I would be powerful and immortal enough to wear a rather tight red boxers outside my jeans and jump out of a 100 storied balcony and survive unscathed? Will be able to merrily jump around buildings and save a little girl from getting hit from a Safa Tempo? Will I be able to devour a million momos at once? Will I?

There's only one way to find out.

The report should probably bore you to death but still..if you are interested, here's the abstract and a link to the full report.

Abstract:
This report briefly summarizes the work that has been done to integrate GoPro Hero3 camera into Seoul National University’s CubeSat, SNUSAT-I, as part of the European Commission led QB-50 project. Since it will be the first time a camera of that stature will become a part of the imaging payload on a CubeSat, the research work has largely been focused on the ability to hack into the camera so that the onboard computer (OBC) will have serial wired control. Additionally, as communication between the OBC and GoPro is to be done serially, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) communication has been scrutinized and tested using single/multiple Arduinos to check its feasibility. The results have also been included in this report.

Fingers crossed, Dalai Lama got this one right.
