Tweaking Arsene Wenger's Comment on Ozil's Contract Situation

If you haven't got to see Ozil's goal he scored this weekend, you should. It's one of those goals where you jump out of your sofa, throw stuff out of the window, destroy your table, take your goldfish out of the water....all this drama just to calm yourself down. Afterwards, Arsene Wenger was asked on Ozil's new contract situation which looks like it's about to be flushed down the drain. If a new deal isn't going to go through, Arsenal will be selling their best player for a grand total of $0. This is what grandpa Wenger had to say:

I’m confident, yes

And everyone was all smiles again, when he then added:

but what does that mean? I don't know. 

Wow. Let's take a moment to think about that so that we can place in a context that humans can carefully deconstruct what he just said.

Let's say, for fun, we need a new washing machine (you really need to buy one here in Japan). You like this amazing, silver nano technology washing machine with silver nano buttons. You ask the person in charge if it's amazing as it looks. He goes on to say:

I'm confident, yes, but what does that mean? I don't know.
